This 3-day camping safari takes you to three of the best parks in northern Tanzania – Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and Lake Manyara National Park.

You will travel in a 4×4 safari vehicle with a pop-up roof and stay at public campsites. All meals are prepared by a safari cook, and your guide will help you spot animals like lions, elephants, hippos, giraffes, and more. This is a great short trip for anyone who wants to see a lot in a few days.

Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

  • Pick-up from your hotel in Arusha after breakfast.

  • Drive to Tarangire National Park (about 2 hours).

  • Game drive in the park, home to many elephants, baobab trees, and other animals.

  • Picnic lunch inside the park.

  • Dinner and overnight at a campsite near the park.

Day 2: Tarangire – Ngorongoro Crater

  • After an early breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

  • Descend into the crater for a game drive on the crater floor.

  • You may see rhinos, lions, buffaloes, hippos, and more.

  • Picnic lunch in the crater.

  • Dinner and overnight at a campsite near Lake Manyara.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park – Arusha

  • Breakfast at the camp, then enter Lake Manyara National Park.

  • Morning game drive in the park. Watch for monkeys, birds, elephants, and possibly tree-climbing lions.

  • Lunch at a picnic site in the park.

  • Drive back to Arusha in the afternoon.

  • Drop-off at your hotel or the airport.
