Mount Meru is the second-highest mountain in Tanzania (4,566 meters) and a great choice for people who want a shorter climb or want to prepare for Kilimanjaro. The trail takes you through forest, open grasslands, and rocky paths.
On the way, you may see animals like giraffes, buffalos, and monkeys because the mountain is inside Arusha National Park. A park ranger joins the group for safety. The climb is steep in some places, but very rewarding with clear views of Kilimanjaro from the top.
